ALBUM REVIEW CREW EPISODE 35: "MOVING PICTURES"

On the 35th Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & Sonny review the eighth album by the legendary band, Rush, "Moving Pictures." This is the biggest selling album from Rush and has sold over 5 million copies in the United States alone. Rush is known for its incredible musicianship with Geddy Lee on vocals and bass, Alex Lifeson on guitar and perhaps the greatest rock drummer of all time, Neil Peart. Moving Pictures continued Rush's progressive sound but in a more commercial and radio friendly manner with songs like "Tom Sawyer," "Red Barchetta," "Limelight" and more. Moving Pictures has become a staple on classic rock stations and many of the songs were part of Rush's live shows. The album was produced by Rush and their long time collaborator, Terry Brown. The album cover has become iconic over the years as well. As usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs. They then rank the album and the album cover against the previous 33 albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew. This was our 3rd Patreon pick. The members of Shout It Out Loudcast's Patreon group overwhelmingly selected Moving Pictures. SIOL & ARC listeners know Tom loves Rush. They also know that Zeus & Sonny are NOT what you would call Rush fans. Did anyone's mind change? Tune in to find out what happens when the guys FINALLY review a Rush album!
