Album Review Crew Episode 27: "Slave to the Grind" with Chris Jericho

On the 27th Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus, Sonny & Special Guest, the one and only, AEW Superstar and Fozzy Lead Singer, Chris Jericho joins us to review the 1991 second album by Skid Row, "Slave To The Grind."

This historic album was the first metal album to debut at number #1 on the Billboard 200 on the Neilson SoundScan era. The double platinum album was once again produced by the legendary Michael Wagener. It showcased the band's heavier sound and transitioned the band away from the "Hair Metal" label.

The album featured some of the best vocal work ever by one of the era's greatest frontman, Sebastian Bach. The dual guitar attack of Dave "Snake" Sabo & Scotti Hill & main songwriter/bassist Rachel Bolan and drummer, Rob Affuso. The music incorporated some punk, thrash and metal influences and more serious, gritty and political lyrics as well.

This was Shout It Out Loudcast's first ever Patreon Pick, which means the exclusive members of SIOL's Patreon family selected this album.

The boys breakdown and dissect the tracks, and rank the songs. They then rank the album and the cover against the previous 25 albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew Episodes.

So listen, enjoy and laugh along or as Bach sang. . . Get The F*&K Out!
